I didn’t know anything about bad bunny before the Super Bowl.

Now I know two things about him: Apparently he was in the Super Bowl, and he seems like a chill guy.

im not into his music for incoherent chica blanca tonta reasons, but everything I've seen of him (SNL, some random golf movie, etc.) is pretty good.

I am pretty sure he's been cool on lots of stuff regarding US colonialism and domestic stuff. Low bar to clear but better than a lot of libs. Maybe even a comrade he isn't really specific about his political ideology beyond the very low bars libs have set for themselves.

Edit: Okay I actually looked deeper and holy shit based:

Translated lyrics.

They want to take away my river and my beach too

They want my neighborhood and want my grandmother to leave

No, don’t let go of the flag and don’t forget the “lelolai“

I don’t want them to do to you what they did to Hawaii

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free! The popular chant holds a strong significance to the Palestinian land and what pertains to the Palestinian people. Across oceans, the song Lo que le paso a Hawaii holds heavy significance and remains relevant to both contexts. There is a level of resonance to both Palestinian and Taino identity when it comes to the stripping of identity and the resilient people of both cultures coming to social media to not only educate the misinformed, but use effective cultural expression through creative outlets to project a level of understanding.

based-department

Tying together Hawaiian, Palestinian, and Puerto Rican struggles against imperialism and colonialism in a single verse so creatively is enough to consider him a comrade in my book

Also he apparently REALLY confuses (Liberal diaspora Zionists) and pisses off (Turbofascist Zionists) too

Lol

Lmao even

There’s also his SNL appearances - which imo are very funny

I have not seen a single episode of SNL and I plan to keep it that way on principle

Fair. I’m just a fan of him dressed as shrek

In the first 30s, the shaky cam was headache inducing, the laugh track was jarring, and the guy with his SHOES ON THE COUCH was too much. He seems like a chill guy tho
