Between media giving a spotlight to reasons you could travel to China and the UK doing visa-free travel... Maybe there's a western plan to generate tourism to China and stir up an anti-foreigner sentiment in the Chinese population that they can use. It's one of the most effective groups they weaponise for generating instability and right wing pipelines elsewhere in the world.

Creating a counter revolutionary fascist force due to tourism would be a wild way to go about regime change.
