I remember as a kid seeing pictures of kiss and hearing about how their music was such HARD ROCK and it was scary for parents. Being a fan of Mastodon and the like at the time, I was like oh cool lets check em out and then I heard detroit rock city and immediately lost interest

Being into anything heavier than nickelback as a kid was just a series of disappointments like this.

Are the kids these days having experiences like this? If I said something like Lamb of God is heavy are the deathcore fans groaning?

I remember an old boss of mine (he was like ten years older than me) trying to impress us with his stories about following kiss around on tour. Fuck you, Chris. No one cares about kiss, I want those hours of my life back
