There is a persistent thing on internet leftist spaces of a weird pseudonationalism where Americans will go on about just how bad Europe is and Europeans will pretend only America is bad.

europe is a shithole but it is also, from the outside looking in, much less of a shithole than America. like shit at least most of it has some degree of healthcare that makes america look like it's in the era of barber surgeons
