Hey comrades,
I didn’t really want to post again, but it’s been almost two months and my sister is still in jail, so I can’t stay quiet.
I’m a trans refugee living with my sisters. Late last year, three of them were arrested while just fetching water. Even with documents, the police refused bail. For days I had no idea where they were. With help from people here, Kail and Olivia were eventually released. Olivia then got seriously sick, and mutual aid covered her hospital bills so she could finish treatment. She’s alive and resting now, which still feels unreal to say.
Charity is the one still inside.
She’s been held for over a month in awful conditions. The police are demanding $213 for bail before court. Every day she stays there makes me more afraid for her health.
Everything we’ve received so far has gone to survival food, medical care, rent and trying to free her. If you can spare a few dollars, it helps. If not, boosting this so it reaches someone who can also helps.
Thank you for the solidarity. It really does matter. Support link is in my profile.
