But a) Dems are very likely to have basically done the same, with fewer headlines

let's not discredit ourselves acting like these occupations of cities are something democrats would do on their own. libs want a negative peace, republicans don't care.

a Harris administration would be orderly and polite about it with warrants and other correct paperwork to justify their crimes against humanity.

Perhaps not by the same means, but under Democrats, there was still widespread police brutality and murder of unarmed innocents. People were still living under the fear of violence, torture and being forcibly ripped out of their homes by ICE. I don't personally see a big difference between 'negative peace' and what's happening now.
