His company will bounce back. They're selling shovels and there will always be another gold rush.
He's just begging to extend the gold rush because having to wait for another one is just so tiresome. It was several years between the crypto mining boom and the AI craze. In that time they only made a shitload of profit, rather than unprecedented gigafucktonnes of profit.
