Just bring in new lore that canonizes women being able to be space marines. For some reason (sexism & misogyny) the concept of fem-marines is a real "scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds" topic for 40k fans. Retcon it so space marines always had women, introduce new lore that says Cawl ~~invented~~ rediscovered The Emperors HRT, bring in the second set of ~~20~~ ~~18~~ 19 primarchs that are all sisters with their legions of post-human warrior women, it doesn't matter. The phrase "female space marines" is like a sleeper cell activation phrase for warhammer chuds
