Let’s just hope that these respondents genuinely believe in communism. My cohort was filled with edgelords who identified with communism when they were young mostly as a function of pure youthful contrarian rebellion. These are kids who wore wool trench coats with hammer and sickle patches, hats with red stars — they even carried copies of The Manifesto. They’re mostly white straight cis married property owners with work from home bullshit jobs now.

Yeah I knew someone like that in high school, holier than thou type who was always loud about his “principles” but never uttered a word of theory.

He’s an ancap now who blames his lack of success on having to go to public school.
