I have no love for Newsom, and don't doubt this post's premise, but the video also cuts off before he actually gets to respond; it just shows him nodding along saying "yup" as Ben is talking before (presumably) responding with actual words. I'm curious what was actually said when it was his turn to speak.

I did the ugly needful. He talked in general terms but didn't really address this comment past this point.
