lol no, neoliberal european parties would never ever. and that's the only kind of "left" that'll get in power in europe.
There are a number of parties that are big tent alliances of liberals and socialists. They very much do have to keep their socialists happy or else the alliance will collapse. There is very real potential for this to occur within those parties.
Yeah, and they all get 3% to 8% beyond flukes. If you mean the Socdems, they're 100% liberal.
This is really not an accurate picture of european electoralism, it's closer to a description of US electoralism.
