Tangentially related but I wish they did a superman movie where it was him stopping world-ending phenomena and giant monsters in rapid succession.
They gave superman every power in the book. Why yes, I want to see an 8 minute sequence of him turning back a mountain-sized tsunami.
Have lex luthor raise a Kaiju from the deep, clark's in some kryptonite stockade to build tension, and then at the last second he flies like a missile into the thing's chest and starts fighting it by pushing back it's punches and other insane wide-shot choreography that feels really massive psyical and weighty.
Unless they do that all the time and I should actually watch Superman movies then I should sit my ass down and listen.
This one has a pretty great bit with a kaiju where it's clear that Supes can just kill it but he's trying to prevent civilian casualties and capture it alive for study so he's holding back. IMO that's where the best Superman drama is created, we already know that he's going to win in the end it's all about how he does it.
There's some greentext story about a potential Superman movie where the CIA keeps trying to give Clark Kent the CIA award for journalism, but fail and can't figure out why.
I'd watch that.
