My work computer is an IT nightmare. Who else has a Desktop folder on their desktop with like three nested Desktop folders?
My personal computer has a beautiful file tree tho
Everything at work lives on my desktop because I want to be able to just grab it when someone requests it without having to open another explorer instance.
I treat the desktop as just a pinned instance of Explorer. Given how long it takes to start now, I'm more than happy to use the already open one for everything lol.
It's also the best place to drag n' drop to/from since it's always right there
At home it's all properly structured, or all managed by git/brtfs and can be reverted if something goes wrong.
