I only learned about it because the actor who plays Joe unfortunately committed suicide recently but I guess they did a sixteen minute video splicing in live concert footage and professional paid actors to accompany the second album that they did AND I'M HERE FOR IT I LOVE THIS SHIT

The Protomen are basically a rock band that decided to turn the plot to Megaman into a three album rock opera about an orwellian dystopia created in the wake of mass automation seized upon by the opportunistic bourgeois Dr Wily and they also just released the third album apparently

unfortunately I expect the 3rd album to be bad because their Dr Wily singer who had a really great freddie mercury esque voice I guess left and they decided to rewrite the entire plot, but we'll see i guess
