When the entire so-called "American left" gets behind candidates who say these things, it manufactures consent for sanctions and interventions among the people that think of themselves as "leftists" and among the rest who think "see, even the loony left knows these brown people are evil".
If his influence were confined to the single city, I wouldn't be hearing about him constantly. Since I'm not from New York, I care about his laundering of imperialism much more than anything he might do as mayor.
since when does the opinion of the american people matter? and normies are like 2:1 against fucking venezuela because there hasn't been a 9/11 to get us to the rabid levels of support invading iraq had at the time.
fuck zohran for that, but i don't think it changed public opinion at all, and public opinion on foreign affairs doesn't matter to trump or the rest of the federal government or the capitalists anyway.
