One of the biggest reasons I don't like going to movies in the US is the lack of intermission. I just don't get it. Broadway shows? Intermission. Live music? Intermission (or, at least, breaks between sets). 3 hour movies? Come on now masochism cadets, let's see how excruciating this film can be!
Like, I know it's been normalized here, but I have no idea why.
