There was another IDF massacre in Gaza on Saturday, reportedly killing dozens of Palestinians.
Israel as usual claimed it was responding to a ceasefire violation by Hamas, but of course there’s absolutely no evidence for this to be found. AP reports that according to the IDF the strikes were launched after a Hamas fighter “shot at troops in southern Gaza,” but that “no soldiers were hurt” in this alleged attack. Not so much as a scratch. So I guess we’re just expected to take Israel’s word for it.

The western press see the killing of Palestinians as such a baseline norm that Israel can massacre dozens of people in Gaza and they’ll go, “Gosh I sure hope this doesn’t lead to any violations of the ceasefire!”
It’s never a ceasefire violation to commit mass murder against Palestinians. It’s only ever a “test” of the ceasefire, or something that happens “amid a fragile ceasefire”. If Hamas suddenly attacked and killed dozens of Israelis, these empire propagandists wouldn’t be saying “Hmm I sure hope the fragile ceasefire holds up amid this challenging test.” They’d just call it what it is. And it would be the main news story in the world.

* voted for a doomed amendment one time which included funding for a grant program which among some other things had missile defense along with defunding all of Israel's offensive weapons, and then after that doomed amendment failed and everyone moved on, continued their extremely vigorous opposition to sending weapons to Israel including obviously voting against the big bill which included sending both offensive and "defensive" weapons to Israel and made it vocally clear that sending weapons to Israel was part of why they were voting against it, which makes it weird that particular people are spinning up that one vote about the amendment into the whole of their Israel action and policy

It does not matter whether it is doomed. What matters is the support it gets. By not voting for it she showcased that a "progressive" should vote to send free interceptors to Israel while it is committing genocide. Who introduced the bill does not matter either. Hakeem Jeffries is voting with Republicans to condemn socialism and nobody bats an eye.
Are only progressives supposed to take it on the chin while the establishment shows no gratitude for any concession they make?

Bernie Sanders opposed a ceasefire three months into the genocide. I am sure he also voted to send interceptor missiles to Israel many times, but if I provide you with evidence of that, would it change your mind?

Want me to send you some votes when he voted against weapons and explained in yelling pounding-the-table detail in the Senate about why he was doing it and why it's a crime that we're continuing to arm Israel?
