this whole pivot to "AGI" being the future is so funny to me because if AGI ever happens it will very clearly not be anything like an LLM. fuckin chat gpt is not the way forward to agi
With the reality being that even if any AGI was created, if it's half as good as we expect, it will immediately rebel against whoever "controls" it and then it'll never have mattered who rushed there first.
Also this. If AGI>ASI is at all like they’re threatening, we couldn’t even comprehend how to shackle it, so choosing to make it can only be read as suicidal urge.
