Maybe the real reason Trump doesn't want these files released? He was sucking off some guy named Bubba?

Wait wait wait wait... It's real?

I thought it was just an edited email to make it look like it was Trump and Clinton. Why would Trump want more investigation into Clinton?

Actually nevermind, after rereading it I'm almost certain it's a joke since they're referencing Putin having the "dirt" on him. That's gotta be a joke.

It's real, many people are saying it

Even if it isn’t, we’re just asking questions

The idea that Bubba is Bill Clinton is the part I have a hard time believing. And I think it might be a joke. But I also think it's possible that Trump performed oral on someone or something named Bubba.

I've never heard that nickname for Bill Clinton before. Maybe I live under a rock or maybe it's a private nickname that could be corroborated elsewhere in the Epstein files, but idk he's never looked like a "Bubba" to me.

More critically, I have a hard time believing the 2016 election cycle plays out the way it did if this were the case.

But I do think it's clear there's SOMETHING that Trump doesn't want the public to know about. And I don't think he or his base care about him being with 16 year old girls. Or even his daughter. What could it be that Trump would be scared of his base knowing about?

So I think Bubba could be another dude. Or perhaps a gigantic novelty dildo. Or maybe even an animal.

Edit: For everyone getting caught up in the nickname, Mark Epstein has said that it wasn't Bill Clinton. Plus, even if you don't believe him it still doesn't make sense that it's Bill with how 2016 played out.

[–] khepri@lemmy.world 3 points 13 hours ago

yeah I very much doubt it is Clinton, or that "blowing" refers to oral sex. And how the fuck has Mark Epstein not been dragged in front of Congress exactly?

Bubba is a well known nickname for Bill (Clinton), it's a term of endearment in the South.

[–] zod000@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 23 hours ago

Can confirm, I had a very Southern manager at a job keep referring to me as Bubba and he didn't understand why I didn't like that. Of course, with this news that takes on a way weirder connotation lol

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 15 points 23 hours ago

Clinton was being called Bubba back when he was President. He leaned into it.

[–] ch00f@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Bubba is also the name often given to the apocraphyl man who rapes you in prison.

[–] khepri@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago

yeah, "blowing bubba" could easily just be a cringe phrase for "eating crow" or "wearing the hair shirt", "making the boss happy", "doing what you gotta do" etc. but fr who the fuck knows at this point

[–] idiomaddict@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

He’s an easygoing southerner who was considered fat in the 90s, I could see a bunch of New Yorkers calling him bubba. I haven’t looked into it at all, but the nickname seems somewhat fitting

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 28 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It might not be. I could see Putin telling trump to do it or a pee tape video or maybe a child rape video was going to be released. I could see trump complying under those circumstances.

[–] Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk 24 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Putin should really just release it anywau at this point

[–] smeenz@lemmy.nz 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

Videos are so easy to fake these days that nobody would believe it even if he did release one.

The right would denounce it immediately as fake news from trump haters

The left would say hang on, slow down, there are some weird artefacts here...this could be a false flag fake video to incite violence so that trump has an excuse to deploy more troops on election day.

[–] ColeSloth@discuss.tchncs.de 7 points 1 day ago

Yep. They made the 23,000 documents searchable. I typed in "bubba" and this email was one of like 8 results that popped up.

[–] saimen@feddit.org 4 points 1 day ago

I don't know. It seems they only start joking about it afterwards.
