I am so conflicted on Ramsey. I want to hate him so much but I’m now debt free, have a great credit score, and lived a normal life while fixing it thanks to that smug asshoke.

The envelope on my fridge also saved my marriage. My wife would worry about me buying a used dvd, the nice cheese, or anything I wanted over $10 really (we were really poor). Arguments and resentment ensued. Given my budget, Dave said to pay yourself out of your own paycheck, $10-20 every two weeks and I could only spend that for fun shit. It had to be in cash and if possible, the envelope had to be somewhere where I could see it (magnet to the fridge). For some reason, that changed my wife’s whole point of view and she was excited for me to spend my “fun-velope”. Good stuff.

I don’t know the other dude.

I feel like Ramsay's benefit is helping people who have issues operating in the American financial system a path to solvency. His advice is horrible to people who can control their spending and debt, but it works for those with issues treating money as a number.

He really does come off like a dick head huh. Delony is the mental health expert in the Ramsey company. Does a pretty interesting call in show. Delony does not come off like a dick head.
