Starting February 2026, Microsoft Authenticator will block Entra credentials on jailbroken/rooted iOS and Android devices through a phased rollout: warning, blocking, then wiping credentials. This security feature requires no admin setup. Users on compliant devices remain unaffected. Organizations should notify users and update documentation accordingly.

There are linux smartphones, like the Pinephone for example. However, they're a very niche market, and don't have a lot of native apps (or developer support for said apps). So, their uses are pretty limited. I bought a pinephone a few years back and it never really worked properly - I found out that you had to flash the modem firmware (?) and I ran into a bunch of errors trying to do that. Plus half the time the fuckin thing wouldn't come out of sleep mode lol. So I just bought an old skool flip phone instead, it works like a charm.
