Question: can you join, take the money, then just not show up? If you get fired, do you get deported or do you get unemployment? Asking for someone who isn't me.

Ive not looked it up, but I'm 100% convinced there's no shot you can do that. They would definitely make you pay it back, assuming the signing bonus itself isn't just additional wages for like a year or two or something

from what I remember they don't pay the 50k up front, it's like a bit at the end of each year for four years or something

Not just fail to show up, no, they can make you pay the money back and also punish you legally for trying to rip them off. Best you could hope to get away with and still get the money is showing up and sandbagging, maybe even a little sabotage idk
