Fun fact, the Kirby villain's Japanese name is Mark, and I'm not sure why but it being a spooky foreign name is definitely part of it, so to keep it spooky and foreign for an anglophone audience the localizers made it Marx.
I thought it's because he's a jester and they were doing a Marx brothers bit
