Apathetic people suddenly develop empathy, when they themselves start getting called out, odd isn't it? Empathy for the fellow wrongdoer, not the people they hurt.

If they go to war and feel guilty about destroying lives, shouldn't they want to help the people they've hurt? To help ease the pain as much as they can.

It’s funny, the same people who will beat you over the head that “respect is earned, not owed.” are the people who think FORGIVENESS is owed and not earned, and get angry that the people who have been wronged won’t forgive them for something they’re not even sorry for.

Like at least fucking apologize, and admit what you did or said was wrong.
