Go ahead and get out ahead of it. There’s still time for them to add a sp2 equivalent in 11 that creates a functional requirement for future operation and kills 10 for end users before the 2032 iot ltsc drop dead date.

TuxedoOS is as close as I've seen to just out of the box functionality. I've been very happy with it

Do it. The most important thing is to go in not necessarily expecting everything to be exactly like Windows. You can get a pretty similar experience if you use something like KDE as the desktop (Kubuntu, etc), but don't be mad if things work a little differently in places, it generally isn't worse (and is usually better) but it is different.

Use a USB stick with Ventoy to install it. It's the easiest way in my opinion. There's plenty of tutorials on youtube.
