🟦 Democrats: 52%
🟥 Republicans: 48%
That's really scary IMO, 48% STILL lean Republican!!
The economy sucks almost as bad as during COVID now, unemployment is increasing, wage values are decreasing, Trump is running a fascist regime, and working on undermining democracy, USA is losing allies left and right, and ICE is picking Americans up in the street. And Republicans are actively waging war on every single minority there is.
How can Republicans still have 48% support?
Decades of unfilteted right wing propoganda.
Seriously Fox, and Right wing radio have portrayed democrats as the epitome of evil, or working eith the literal christian devil. If you take your faith even the slightest bit seriously you will not or cannot possibly vote for a democrat no matter how bad it may get.
Look at them trying to deify Charlie Kirk, the man said some absolutely vile things and he was fucking mild compared to people like Fuentes, Milo, Miller and even Alex Jones. They never see what he said about the civil rights movement, or black pilots. They only see a good christiam boy taken down for expressing an opinion. It shouldnt surprise a single soul its this close
This is a seriously disingenuous comment at best. There's clearly a problem within a lot of christian congregations when it comes to nationalistic ideology, but to suggest that any sort of faith forces you to vote against democratic politicians is wildly inaccurate. In just my firsthand experience with those that truly practice what Christianity teaches(helping the poor, sick, hungry, etc.), I see a left-leaning majority. So I would argue its the opposite. Those that practice their faith rather than just attending church and virtue signaling within their community tend to vote for progressive policy that enact social programs for the disadvantaged members of society.
I broadly agree with you, but I think the above comment is saying that in the context of what the right wing media pushes
Like, there are some groups for whom religion is less about the teachings and more about in-group mentality, and fox etc have successfully weaponised that and made Republicanism a central tenet of the in-group
It's not a universal thing by any means, but it has been part of the fox agenda
