Breadtube if it didn't suck.
Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.
Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.
There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.
A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

This could be the best thing for him. From what I've seen he's a really good public speaker, and from the moment the news broke about Charlie Kirk he shut down any celebration of it. He had an upcoming debate with Kirk, thought the video was traumatic, and correctly assessed that it achieves nothing except tit-for-tat violence and state repression. His coverage since has been very non-speculative, coming with the news and not taking any side on the shooter's politics. Hasan streams like ten hours a day and there hasn't been any kind of damning clip making the rounds. Plus there's zero indication the shooter has any affiliation with him or anyone he's associated with.
Everyone else testifying at that is going to be a tech CEO promising to crack down on the left or some other kind of collaborator. His testimony is at least going to be the only honest take and it might raise his profile as the only charismatic or oppositional one.
Yeah hopefully the media gives him a fat platform. He is up to the task after however many hundreds/thousands of hours being on Livestream.
They'll bring up "deserved 9-11" and "kill Rick Scott" but he's fine saying "bad choice of words on my part, what I meant was...."
The Rick Scott thing is totally taken out of context, he can simply provide the context and there’s nothing else to say.
I would actually love to see him defend the “America deserved 9/11” comment, and I think he actually might (even if he couches it some). That could actually be a watershed as I think there are a very, very large number of Americans (especially younger ones) who at least don’t give a shit about 9/11 and are tired of hearing of it, and even would agree with Hasan that we did deserve it. I could definitely see it as being a Luigi type moment where the population agrees with Hasan while the media and politicians clutch their pearls.
But if he is called before Congress, and he sticks to his guns and is brave, then I think he could reach heights of popularity heretofore we cannot conceive of.
I'm interested to see how it goes
9/11 is only a joke for young people. A massive act of violence that somehow only killed like 3000 people? oh yah lets just displace 1M people and destabilize an entire corner of the world.
better cancel after-school events because they might crash a plane into a peewee soccer game
Nooooo u can never modulate what u say for the court of public opinion 😩😡
Hexbears when Zohran says "bad choice of words on my part":
Hexbears when Hasan says "bad choice of words on my part":
Know the work rules:
honestly we should have that as an emoji hahaha
but wait they are both hot
it's kinda inherently problematic
I don't have a parasocial relationship with the mayoral candidate guy though. Hasan entertains me, therefore my monkey brain has determined that he is my personal friend.
I think the people who are harshest on Zohran are also the people who are harshest on Hasan. Like you either think that having less-radical-than-us-but-radical-compared-to-the-average people in the media is valuable and support it, or you think it's sheepdogging and cooptation and you don't.
Zohran never said Globalize the Intifada in the first place, his thing was flipping on not discouraging other people from saying it and implicitly condemning the phrase.
“WhErE’s ThE lEfTiSt AnDrEw TaTe!?!?”
It’s Hasan. It’s literally Hasan.
The problem has never been that there aren't left wing voices, the problem has always been that - in part due to the unlimited flow of oil billionaire money - 99/100 of the top political streamers are the most right wing ghouls imaginable. And the last one is Hasan.
I'm still assuming that there's always the possibility of legal harassment by law enforcement such as no knock raids of his workplace, taking him into detention fro 24 hours, not even imagining the death threats he is likely already receiving from crazed right wingers.
But there is a compilation of extremely out of context things he's said and that's good enough for a lot of people.
He also is named Hasan, which is very close to Hamas
he also correctly said America deserved 9/11
That's assuming that the trial is televised and the media accurately reports anything he says or does. Most likely they'll either just give no quotes from him at all, only the opposition saying things about him, or Frankenstein a quote clipped out of different unrelated things he said. They'll talk about him a lot, but they won't talk to him.
