Like others pointed out, based on history alone it's likely a chud. There are leftist hunters and there are people who buy hunting rifles and only use them at the range or in their back yards. If you want a sniper rifle quickly and cheaply, that type of gun is it. It's easy to find as you can get them at any Bass Pro, Cabelas, Walmart, or Sporting Goods store. They don't require any licensing or special checks, just driver's license as you have to be 18. The cheap ones run around $400-$500. At that price point they're not perfect, but they get the job done. They can take down big game from relatively far away. Some people were saying the gun is an older model, so it could be grandpa's or dad's hunting rifle. I would wager it's not actually older though I don't care to spend time comparing photos. It's probably something they bought in the past few months.

That caused anger. Given that it was recently, I would pick that as a candidate reason for motive. It's either a fan of a rival like Fuentes or it's one of his fans who didn't like his flip-flop. Kirk may have sucked up to Trump but that doesn't mean his fans are on board with Trump.

Really, we may never get a clear answer. We can't trust anything released by law enforcement on this and especially not from feds. Even the information about the gun may not be real. We're going on the word of people who are mad and upset one of theirs was shot and is admittedly working to form some kind of narrative.
