Mid level-ish? $200? Compared to something like an Odin or an ROG, or some of the newer Anbernics, I dont think so.

There's also some other Retroid users on this site.

Also the Retroid Pocket 5's hardware makes it a pretty much one and done purchase. I have 4-5 emulators and I probably spent 3x that on them all said and done. Their hardware runs the gamut of barely emulating N64 to being able to play almost all retro up to but not the Retroid Pocket 4. $200 for something that will be good for the next 10 years is smart.

Been playing a lot of Switch stuff on the 5 and its been a tank. Some crashes but I can chalk that up to switch emu itself rather than the specs

If it can emulate Switch I actually might grab it as my Christmas gift lol. Not only is that dope as fuck but while we are processing this divorce, I'm realizing that since our oldest plays my Switch mostly, a lot of his hours clocked are on that. Might just let him keep it and grab an RP5 lol.

Yeah, im happy to talk about it! Eden is my emulator of choice, it makes getting the latest drivers super easy. It also just got a new update 3 days ago thats pretty rad. Helps with some compatability issues. You can also get older versions of emulators to try out if needed, depending on the game. Its a pretty fun little project, but I enjoy tinkering here and there.

Sounds on par with Proton version tinkering when getting stuff to run on Linux. Knowing my luck, I buy the device and Nintendo shuts down Eden next day lol.
