Hello fellow Far Side fans!
About this community and how I post the comic strip… Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips and one of those was The Far Side. These days of course you find just about anything online including www.thefarside.com where they post several comics a day and I repost them here. Just to note, the date you see in my posts is not the initial release date, but the date they were posted on the website.
The Far Side is a single-panel comic created by Gary Larson and syndicated by Chronicle Features and then Universal Press Syndicate, which ran from December 31, 1979, to January 1, 1995 (when Larson retired as a cartoonist). I have been wondering, whether pets ever get bored of always being fed the same. I guess, lots of pets are carnivores, where even in the wild, you just get variations of meat, so maybe they don't care...
My dog will refuse to eat some foods if he has it too many days in a row, and he eats new kibble more enthusiastically than whatever he's been eating lately. He's a very picky eater for such a food obsessed little chonker.
They certainly can. Pets often develop preferences for certain foods, and our cats certainly get excited when we break out the fancy foods.
There is a surprising lack of variety in human food in many cultures as well. Partially that is due to poverty, but not only as many see it as perfectly normal to eat the exact same dish 7 days a week.
