we are using these to work less and let the machines do the boring shit for us, right?
Given that it's happening in China, there's a good chance automation will be used to reduce work.
I got a mid cost ($450, they go up to $2700 being the most expensive i saw) roomba and while it isn't perfect like I'm not gonna have to clean my floors again. This thing charges itself, empties itself, it mops and refills its own water tank and shit.
And this is just a roomba. Some of those features i only saw on $800 alternatives, China's giving me that self refilling for half the cost
That 2700 dollar roomba had a fuckin robot arm on it to pick up pet toys like a fucking star wars droid
Yeah I'm actually surprised they got robot vacuums to work as good as they do, I remember my friend having one of the earlier ones like 15 years ago and it was absolute shit and horribly expensive, they've really come a long way.
Yeah lol it's also kinda funny to me how the actual roomba brand is basically a non entity at this point because the competition has so effectively gotten it btfo
It's also kinda wild like all the shit some of them can do. I saw one that can literally jump across little gaps
Mine does have a few janky problems though still with the navigation. There's this one chair it just does a really shitty job avoiding for some reason. And sometimes it makes really questionable choices. The other night it came charging in to the room i was in and would have hit my feet if i hadn't moved. Then it just fucked off and left. It already vacuumed that room lol idk what that was about
Ok that's pretty amazing. I gotta check out these Chinese robo vacuums. :)
