It's your average run-of-the-mill strangers in a strange place kind of show. This one is in a horror setting.
A diverse group of strangers find themselves ~~on a mysterious island~~ ~~on a mysterious ship~~ in a mysterious town ~~on a mysterious farm~~.
Did they die and go to some sort of Hell? Are they being experimented on by aliens? Are they really in cryosleep onboard a spaceship? Is the whole thing a simulation or did a wizard do it maybe?
It's OK'ish if you like that sort of thing.
Thanks. Yeah I don't usually like that sort of thing. My interest is not piqued.
It's not very good either. Every single character is determined to choose the absolutely dumbest decisions throughout the whole series. The first season is somewhat interresting, but it just turns into dumb shit.
There's a fan theory (that I can buy) that the town is the cause of those dumb decisions (at least most of them), but it really depends on how it wraps up.
We started getting some answers in s03 as well so hopefully they weren't lying about having the story already figured out.
It gives me a Lost vibe but more horror less relationship drama
They have creators and writers From Lost in charge of From.
If nothing else it's worth watching for 3 actors and their characters
Harold Perrineau as Boyd
Elizabeth Saunders as Donna
And Scott McCord as Victor.
Those 3 are a joy to watch and pretty much end up stealing every scene they are in.
