When the alternative is to burn everything down, staying the course absolutely is the reasonable option.

Setting aside that even then denying that there's a problem at all is still fucking stupid, if you feel you have no future at all under the current system there is logic to burning everything down and hoping something less terrible comes out of the ashes.
