Is it playing dead at the end or is it just kinda derpy?
They're just kind of derpy and spread out like that to avoid hurting themselves. They can't land on their feet properly, so they just spread themselves out so they don't break something by redistributing their weight vs. the impact.
Adorable.
They're just kinda goofy. Jumping short circuits them a bit.
