Prosecute. Persecuting is what they are doing to us.
But I hear you.
When people say that the country is built on the rule of law, they mean it literally. There is no enforcement mechanism in the constitution that would allow the courts to enforce their rulings. We have gone for 250 years without anyone in the White House ignoring court rulings. They are ruling and he is effectively saying “Make Me.” The only remedy that is explicitly in the constitution is impeachment, and we know this congress and senate won’t do that. They are completely in his thrall. And if they did, then we’d end up with Vance who is showing his true, Putin-pocketed, nazi inspired colors in Germany - just today.
They could swear out a bench-warrant for Musk, but Trump would just proactively pardon him - unless he’s really getting sick of the Co-President stuff.
The courts deputizing anyone to carry out their enforcement would lead to an instant constitutional crisis - which again, I think they are purposefully working to provoke, so they can just light the constitution on fire.
I think we need some brilliant ideas, right now - quick, fast, and in a hurry.
Well, Andrew Jackson ignored them and we got the American historical period of excellence we now affectionately refer to as the Trail of Tears, so there's that...
