Trump sent a real estate agent he met during golfing to Israel to force Netanyahu to accept the ceasefire deal.

That is no joke.

[-] eldavi@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 day ago

trump is only a tv real estate guy; the guy he sent in, whitkoff, was the REAL real estate guy.

[-] ChadMcTruth@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

how deep does this go how can we know that the "real" real estate guy didnt send in a REALER real estate guy

[-] spankinspinach@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago

The conspiracy theorists were right! There is a real deep real (e)state!

[-] eldavi@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

i suppose it depends on how real you want your real estate to be. lol

Steve Witkoff: The real estate investor who sealed the Gaza ceasefire

On Saturday, Gaza ceasefire talks were down to the wire, and President-elect Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy wanted to hash out the deal once and for all with Benjamin Netanyahu, but the Israeli leader’s office said he could not be roused during Shabbat.

Steve Witkoff allegedly gave a “salty” reply, making it clear he didn’t care if it was the Sabbath, the Jewish day of rest.

In the words of one report from Haaretz, Witkoff said Trump expected Israel to agree to the ceasefire, and “things that Netanyahu had termed life-and-death issues…suddenly vanished”.

The meme implies Trump slightly pushing back against Netanyahu ended the genocide. Which Biden refused to do for more than a year.

Contrary to this post, I got that meme somewhere else

[-] ChadMcTruth@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

slightly pushing back

he is holding a gun

[-] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 day ago

It is a meme exagerating what happened. Netanyahu did not say "glory to the Islamic resistance" either.
