You get nuclear power without the ability to make bombs. Which is why nobody is doing it. Nuclear and fusion is always tightly coupled with "defense", and actually clean alternatives are ignored
Aren’t there two kinds of thorium reactors, one that can create nuclear material as a by product, the reason why India despite having the world’s highest reserves of thorium and overwhelming energy demand, is stupidly dragging its feat trying to create the more expensive reactors that do produce nuclear by products?
I think you know more than I do 😄 I'm not rabbitholing thorium tonight though!
