Surprising nobody, Reddit Corp threatening a gaming sub of a fanatically anti-corporate video game doesn't go as they'd hoped.

The mod team have basically decided that "Fuck Reddit" is the way forward, and appear to have practically total support of their entire sub for the choice taken.

Presumably, we're about to get a Cyberpunk community on Fediverse soon. :p

And I was planning on getting the game when the expansion comes out. I'm glad to see the community is holding strong against the very thing their game is about.

It's a totally SFW game, too, so I honestly don't understand the point the mods are trying to make here though. The first time my V (sorry if the spoiler tag doesn't work properly I'm confused about where I actually type my spoiler)

I thought, "ah yes, what a wholesome family oriented game. I think I'll invite my grandma over to play with me."

Don't forget how

spoilerThe first mission in the city is fighting a bunch of organ harvesters and saving a naked lady. And then later on, a guy selling snuff porn VR can trick you into being captured by those same harvesters. So you escape and get your stuff, but not before your boobs and/or junk flops all over the place.

Honestly it's probably easier to list the stuff that isn't NSFW from some perspective than otherwise.

I have been sceptical after the disastrous launch but recently grabbed it myself during a sale, and I can really recommend it now. It still isn’t 100% perfect, but it is an enjoyable experience and great storyline, not to mention the amazing setting and visuals. It isn’t all that was promised before launch, but a complete and largely bug free experience.

Honestly even at launch the game was a blast. it needed a lot more polish and Q&A no doubt, but the core experience was there. And sometimes the glitches were half the fun.

Yeah it didn't live up to the unrealistic hype (like every NPC on screen would have a routine and schedule for their day, etc) and the bugs were pretty obvious, but I still had a blast playing it at launch.

I'll probably wait a couple of years and then play it through again with the dlc so it feels a bit more fresh.

Man, just the new skill trees, rules changes, and vehicular combat is enough for me to go right back in.

One of the problems was that most people played on the PS4 as ps5s were scarce. I played it on release on a PS5 and it wasn't a problem. Didn't see many bugs at all.

When the dlc releases everyone gets a free large update that reworks a lot of stuff.

It'll be closer to what was promised in a few months

That makes me excited for Sept. 26th then, I appreciate your input! :)
