After some brief googling, it seems like this guy is a right wing conspiracy theorist. Is there any other source for this information?

Are you sure the hard drive is ok?

Firefox is not “basically Safari” on macOS, that is only true on mobile.

Foobar2000 is the true modern day Winamp.

This is new because they removed the regular free icon and replaced it with an ugly pixelated one.

That’s probably true, it seems to grow and shrink with Twitter controversies.

Plus Memmy is out on the App Store! Doesn’t help OP of course.

Surprising nobody, Reddit Corp threatening a gaming sub of a fanatically anti-corporate video game doesn't go as they'd hoped.

The mod team have basically decided that "Fuck Reddit" is the way forward, and appear to have practically total support of their entire sub for the choice taken.

Presumably, we're about to get a Cyberpunk community on Fediverse soon. :p

The good thing is the corporate overlords have no control over other instances, except to defederate from them

It's mostly better than twitter, in that it actually functions reasonably well, and it's obviously considerably worse than Mastodon (especially compared to the Ivory app)

  • The biggest downside is the timeline seems to show a mixture of accounts you follow and other accounts, seemingly suggested accounts that it thinks you might want to follow. I can't see any way to only see posts from accounts you follow.
  • The timeline isn't chronological and I can't see a way to make it chronological
  • You can't edit posts

For a big instance, Hot sorting seems to work pretty well. Otherwise Top Day is probably a better choice.

Jellyfin is so good now. I used to use Plex but I have no need for it now at all.

Hi all,

Unfortunately the official Lemmy and Lemmy UI docker images are currently available for AMD64 only for 0.18.0 +. I'm running an ARM64 system and am looking to use the latest 0.18.1 release candidates, however I can't find any pre-build docker images.

I've attempted to build it, however the dockerfile uses clux/muslrust which is AMD64 only.

Does anybody know of any ARM64 alternatives to clux/muslrust that I can use instead that I can just swap it for?

Here is the dockerfile for those interested: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/blob/main/docker/Dockerfile

Edit: Thanks to some advice in this thread, I was able to build the latest builds of Lemmy and Lemmy UI. If you want to use them you can here:
