The world is still too profitable for the bourgeois class, a nuclear exchange will devastate the world, thus wiping out vast profits. There will be no nuclear exchanges in the foreseeable future. Unless there is a proletarian uprising, or climate catastrophe, the profits of the bourgeoisie are safe for now.
I definitely agree with this mostly, but I've been reminded that people do not always act rationally. Especially the Israelis.
Ukrainians as well for that matter.
Western bourgeois profit is currently being undercut by the rising superpower - China. The US and EU simply have no answer to Chinese EV, solar panels and green tech. If they want to transition into alternative renewable energy source, they’re never going to be able to compete with China. They’re screwed industrially and technologically.
The world is being squeezed by the rising dollar and high interest rates and are looking for ways out. And here you’re telling me that the world is still “too profitable” for the bourgeoisie.
Let me gift you a quote from Lenin, from Imperialism: the Highest Stage of Capitalism:
Wars are the only way out for Western finance capitalism. If that means killing one quarter of the world’s population, then so be it. The contradictions of capitalism can no longer be contained, and are being manifested as hot conflicts and flashpoints elsewhere in the world. Just because it hasn’t happened to where you live personally, yet, doesn’t mean the rest of the world isn’t heading towards a boiling point. Capital demands blood sacrifice, and the bourgeoise are going to give it to their Deity.
Note that Lenin wrote that in 1916! Talk about being prescient about the world.
