Why should I give a fuck

I wouldn't let them fondle my testicles.

As always, people completely overreacting to the minor inconvenience of having testicles fondled. Crazy

This statement irks me unproportionally strongly compared to how banal it is. It's the equivalent of "it is what it is" in saying nothing, but with some edgy pedantic seasoning. What about if the atmosphere was stripped and the planet was left a barren rock? What about if something knocked it from out of the Solar system and it was sent reeling into the universe on its own? "The planet doesn’t care, it can carry on without us" -- and please, pretend I did the Spongebob random caps thing, because that's what I think of your banality.

Embracer could have done a little extending before going all extinguisher.

You'd have to try hard to do it without a pc, since it's a pc itself.

You're not going anywhere.

Why? I dropped maps completely as soon as they started enshittifying it with elements I don't use that can't be removed from the UI; now I use only OSMand. I dumped Chrome when they announced manifest v3 and use Firefox. I dropped Google Play store when they made it difficult to see the exact version and it turns out f-droid has everything I need. I also dumped gmail for k9; their sms client for an open source one; I removed their Youtube client and use Newpipe. I always search with Ecosia or DDG before trying google.

Mod elections should be annual and no mod should enjoy that status for life.

We are talking about an unpaid position. For me, the best thing about the downfall of reddit is it made blindingly clear that the content is ephemeral, shitposting is not all that important and that online forums are communities in name only.

none of your

This hand-wringing bullshit would feel much more weighty if a FOSS alternative with manual controls didn't exist available for free on the same OS and the same device: https://f-droid.org/packages/net.sourceforge.opencamera/

Popular actors in cyberpunk 2077 are the worst part of it IMO, I'd much rather have those characters sport a face I haven't seen a thousand times.

I might be jaded, but I'd wager that whoever buys it, is going to be worse than having Epic as a rich daddy who is focused on and making money through his core business and doesn't really know what to do with Bandcamp. Entities that buy it are almost certainly going to squeeze harder at the expense of user experience.

I for one love downfall drama

Well, lemmy in general needs content. A lot of content is news and having bots post the news is not different from hooking up an rss feed to fill the feed. It's not the bots that are the problem, it's motivations of those who program them. Are the bots shilling a service/product/viewpoint?
