This advice is indistinguishable from unsolicited mail wanting to buy houses in cash at above market rate... Presumably so Blackrock can jack it up, restrict supply, and charge way more while doing way less.

Which is exactly what OP post is trying to fix.

I'm not a hero, but I'm doing what's fair given the system we have. Even I'm saying this is fucked, but it's the best I can do to affect things for the better.

As a current landlord about to extend a lease at exactly the same terms for 3rd year in a row (and I fix everything within 24 hours) - I agree with this too.

It's ridiculous that my largest store of value is a speculation bubble and a piece of paper with my name on it

Besides bluesky, can we start seeing more of the protests here on lemmy? And see it flood the pages here? If someone just posts one a day from each location, that will kick start enough people to join

Nah, we tried appealing to the center shit and that got us nowhere. Go hard on restoring working class America. Fuck racism, sexism, and ignorance - that shit got us a slow slide down to where we are now .

Kick the fucking oligarchs out and tax the fuck out of them. Rich should mean enough money to be very comfortable and never worry again, but not enough to buy elections.

Here you go. You forgot this.

Sigh... you wish violent protest would be common.

This country is so neutered on peace messages and frazzled in disinformation we can't even march in a single direction together.

Everyone is one paycheck away from losing everything, and don't want to bank it on the fact that the protest they skip work for will change anything... Because so far they haven't.

Maybe it's time to go door to door asking people to join a march to DC and every capitol?
