LOL Oh dear! LOL

This is one of the best articles I've read in a very long time.

I have been banging on about this now for at least a couple of years. Much as been written about what is ailing Meta at the moment; yet, strip all that away lies, at its root, a lack of integrity, common decency and humility, and a large dose of cynicism that defines the character of its founder, Mark Zuckerberg. They say a company's culture starts with the man, or woman, at the top, and so it has come to pass.

From the very beginning, with the original premise of FB being intended to rate women on their sexual desirability, the seeds of its eventual demise were planted. They are now reaping the bitter harvest that he, and he alone, sowed.

What does that say about America? I think it's past saving to be honest.

I've noticed I'm having difficulty posting using a VPN. Is this specific to Lemmy?

Redditt is becoming more and more difficult to use on the web over the last couple of months or so. They know that there are browser extensions that filter out unwanted elements, and also that trackers and fingerprints are increasingly being blocked.

You can't be tracked as easily with a properly configured browser and I suspect that this is what the change is all about. I will continue using Reddit on the browser, for now, but am happy to ditch it if it becomes a problem.

There is a lot of AI and Human slop posted these days - I am getting fed up with having to decipher posts from people who simply cannot string a coherent sentence together. I am also getting fed up with people using expletives and profanities and just wish people would communicate properly.
