If anything the Palestinians are giving a lowball number. Israel has dropped just over 7000 munitions so far and they are reporting over 7000 dead. So one person a bomb? I wouldn’t be surprised if the casualties are 3x higher.

I have nothing to add in response to the question, but I’ve also been offline for a long time.
Recently discovered the lemmy apps which are available now and it’s like revolutionary for me. I had a really hard time using the site via the web app. I do appreciate all the hard work our devs put into that though.
I went to Cuba and visited three cities during warming of relations under Obama. I've also been to PR, and Haiti, and I have to say Cuba is the nicest of any of the Caribbean Islands. Its very safe, people seem happy in general, and while its not rich, it doesn't have the abject poverty of Haiti or that of poorer people in San Juan.
I also being to Beijing and Western China pre-Olympics. Great place also, except for the horrendous air pollution.
