That’s the whole Republican strategy at this point. They realized that any publicity, no matter how crazy they have to be to get it, ultimately benefits them. No matter how well Walz performed, no matter how reasonable and objectively right he is, Vance gets the publicity through his nonstop lies.

That weeklong “truce” really says it all about Israel.

I think it’s usually done to let them pretend their being impartial and “equal opportunity” despite never really intending to be. I personally think it’s bullshit, internal promotions are totally valid and shouldn’t be seen as favoritism (unless the candidate is wildly unqualified).

My issue with bans in Commander is that it is just not an effective way to balance a format with no set restrictions. There are so many cards in all of Magic, there is no way to create a properly balanced game without an extensive ban-list that completely changes the identity of the format.

That said, I think your idea of something like Vintage Commander as a separate thing could be a good one. Have a more balanced ban-list if people want it, while also having an (almost) no ban version. Though they should still try and ban cards that clearly don’t work in multiplayer.

A lighter iris color correlates with higher light sensitivity and better low light vision. The higher density of pigment in a darker iris blocks light better.

Ibuprofen probably isn’t stable for a decade. Then again, apparently no one knows for sure! Studies pick an arbitrary amount of time to test and then call that the shelf life if it remains usable. So far it doesn’t seem anyone has had the patience to test the absolute shelf life of ibuprofen

I just want to offer my two cents as someone who is disabled. I understand you viewpoint, and I don’t think it makes you ableist, but the sentiment definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

1.) You can have that opinion without being ableist, but it’s a pretty insensitive thing to express. I understand you’re probably not going around telling disabled people that, but it can come across as “a disabled life isn’t worth it”, whether you mean it or not.

2.) It’s a blanket sentiment that raises the bar of what you consider to be disabled. Would you really rather die than have autism or ADHD? Or maybe POTS? Or IBD? Disabled is a very broad term that encompasses far more than profound physical disabilities.

Between those two, as someone who is disabled, I’m left wondering whether someone is implying my life isn’t worth living, or that they don’t consider me disabled enough. Again, not trying to come at you or call you ableist, just trying to explain how it could possibly come across poorly.

It opens the run dialog, which I’m sure the vast majority of Windows users have never heard of. This would trick a lot of people who just trust whatever their computer asks them to do.

I’m willing to bet that’s the goal on Harris’ part. The Democrats have finally found that the way to unravel him is just belittle him rather than giving him any measure of power. If the debate goes forward unmuted, she just has to be dismissive and call him weird/old/whatever and I guarantee he’ll fly off the handle.

Most digital animation done by hand isn’t done in the stop motion/frame-by-frame way, It’s done with key frames that are interpolated between. That’s not to say it isn’t still super time consuming (especially when done well).

He didn’t say that the government won’t go after Maersk, just that the federal government is fronting the cost. If the bridge had to wait for Maersk to pay up it could be years before they begin rebuilding.

The craziest part about McCarthy is that (I would argue) he still choose party over country but the crazy members of the party couldn’t see that. He knew a shutdown would have been devastating for their image, but all the extremists could see was working with the enemy.
