Yeah I use chatgpt and Gemini for targeted tasks, data collection and organizing for blog posts and work proposals (yes I verify the data, I know about A.I. hallucinations), and how to's for tasks I don't do often or have never done.

Just yesterday I told it "I just bought the PC (linked to product page) I want to install Linux Mint but first I want to disable secure boot, provide a step by step guide to accomplish this" and after about a minute it spit out and detailed guide referencing the manufacturer's website, their forum, and a third party guide. It even pulled tips and tricks from the forum with things like "tip: users report if you see this screen do this to correct it (link to forum thread)"

I'm not giving these access to my email or calendar or anything like that, once I can have a locally hosted LLM that can access that stuff then sure, as long as I can control my data. Until then I just use commercial LLMs as tools that I don't fully trust.

You get sued out of existence for damages.

This case? The supreme court made the president untouchable as long as it can be claimed as an official act, and he said it during a white house press conference so it will be deemed an official act.

So after their entire legal department quit rather than be associated with a case against the supreme leader, they'd find an ambulance chaser to file the lawsuit and trump would look at them like south African diplomat from leathal weapon 2 and say "presidential immunity" then the FDA and CDC would launch health and safety inspections and the IRS would audit the company and every employee from the CEO to the janitor in Booger Hole, WV.

Made me curious and I did the math, the girl who gave birth to her son two months after graduation, he can legally drink now.

God damn I'm going to need some more ibuprofen today.....

Same, I made the switch about 9 years ago when I was self-employed. Then I took a job with a small company running windows and it sucked. Now I'm 6 years in with my current, a mega corp, and they are all in on Microsoft. I've been so aggravated with the limitations of Microsoft products when I could get things done with a FOSS product in no time. Of course IT blocks FOSS installs because of corporate policy....🤬

While nowhere is truly safe from Ohio, my parents took me to Maine to visit family friends as a kid, it's very nice there, I highly recommend fleeing to Maine.

Not always true, Kent (home of Kent State University) is bright red. I live a little ways south of Kent and I drive thru there a few times a year to visit a friend, every time I go through there it's maga merch everywhere.

I would say they do care, if their ratings are down then their party is likely to win elections in the midterm. If their party is out of power in the house or senate after the midterm then the president loses power since the other party is less likely to vote in favor of things the president wants, and more likely to launch investigations into the president and administration officials.

There's also the fact that you want your successor to be from your party because 1) it says you did a good enough job the people wanted more of the same, 2) your successor will most likely continue things you've started and help secure your legacy.

In the end remember that most politicians are vain power hungry people, having low poll numbers at any time could hurt their egos and their ability to wield power.

That would be step #4

As a born and raised Ohio resident, yes this is real, the horrors are unspeakable, run foolish mortal.

I may be a 41 year old, never married, single man, but the A-10 is the best plane ever built.

I will die on this lonely hill.

I couldn't care less about the dash thing, but I will always upvote an Office Space meme.
