I could literally say the same thing about the UK except we know we're not very clever

Also, it encourages over regulation to make it harder for small companies to enter the market. Facebook does the same thing

I mean the peanut shells in the garden is actually worrying if you have a kid with a peanut allergy right. If it's serious it could kill them just by touching it and then eating something with their hands.

More people are happy to walk than bike, and getting hit by a bike is worse than getting walked into by another person

In Nottingham, UK they made it so companies have to pay for every parking space per year over a certain amount, and that money gets invested in public transport. Over time congestion has grown much slower in Nottingham than similar cities, I'm amazed that more cities don't do the same.

20mph is significantly safer than 30mph, that's all there is to it

No, I've done it before. It's awful being dependent on a car to go anywhere, there's less to do.

We should do both

A green future is a future where our lives are significantly different to what they are now. Yes the largest polluters are massive companies, but they are massive companies who are producing things based on demand. If we demand bigger and less efficient cars, then they will produce them. Obviously they can shape what we demand through advertising, but I hate the way that personal responsibility is totally overlooked.

If you want the fediverse to work, you have to accept that large companies will want to be part of it.
