Kind of a bummer it's not included in Proton family. It's handy though!

Ich habe mehrere Jahre in der Softwareentwicklung einer Versicherung gearbeitet, ich habe das alles schon mit eigenen Augen gesehen

In the city OP is living (I can tell from the ticket portal) there exists a physical card for regular Deutschland Tickets and you are free to choose from various providers with differing integrations and apps if you don't want to buy it from the local transport authority. The corporate portal OP needs to use (due to his employer subsidizing the ticket) only offers a digital version that can be saved to Google/Apple Wallet, though. There are plenty of third party wallet apps allowing you to scan and store QR codes but the Deutschland Ticket renews on a monthly basis, which I think sadly requires a more sophisticated wallet app like Google/Apple wallet as the QR code changes each time the ticket renews

Und aufgrund "mangelnder Nachfrage" am Deutschland-Ticket wird dieses schlussendlich komplett eingestellt, denn "die Pendler haben sich ja eindeutig gegen das Ticket entschieden" (aber natürlich nicht, weil sie es sich nicht mehr leisten können/wollen)

Das gleiche fragt man sich über Braunschweig auch ;-)

Sowas passiert in Deutschland immer mindestens 10 Jahre versetzt. Das wäre vor 10 Jahren absolut der Zeitgeist gewesen, aber dass jetzt ganz andere Anforderungen wichtig sind, erkennt man wiederum erst in 10 Jahren.

So und nicht anders! Gesundheit sollte nichts, aber auch gar nichts mit dem eigenen Wohlstand zu tun haben dürfen. Eine gesetzliche Krankenkasse, die Leistungen auf annäherndem Privatniveau abdeckt, würde private (Zusatz-)versicherungen überflüssig machen.
