Hitler rose to power because 85 year old centrist idiot Paul von Hindenburg appointed hitler chancellor and then promptly dropped dead of old age, in office, one year into his term. Hindenburg did this right after he had won a presidential election while not giving a single campaign speech or debate, and having not much in the way of policy because he was too dementia ridden. There was 86% voter turnout in that election.

This is also about proportionality and perspective. I care a lot more about people being killed than about one particular group being casually biggoted against. I see antisemitism as a comparatively minor injustice when compared directly to the injustice of Israeli crimes against humanity. And no one talks about the vast issue of anti-muslim bigotry and anti muslim violence, which seems to me to be far more virulent and damaging in its injustice and violence than the effects of anti semitism.

I say people who wring their hands about anti semitism should get in line with all the rest of the victims of terrible biggotry while we all deal with this israeli terrorism and colonization problem. Anti semitism is a problem, but it doesnt rank highly against other more directly impactful problems, right? I rank it right up there with British anti-Irish sentiment.
