Would think they'd invest in public transit, trains, and other stuff to lessen the burden on the road, but that's asking too much. Esp for people like me who are slowly losing the ability to want to drive despite the necessity. It's just rough being audhd let alone anything else where that causes issues but you can't get anywhere without driving or walking distances that just aren't possible bc sidewalks and other pedestrian friendly things don't exist now ๐ญ

I could say the same for it over here in the states bc geezus. Esp as someone who absolutely hates driving bc of audhd and so many other reasons. Not to mention everything is so far away when I need it and shopping online isn't always ideal(and I'm still wary of buying certain things online....)
I just wanna say this is irony that it came up on a work machine tho. Like they really trying to get you out of there ๐คฃ
That almost makes me wanna switch but I enjoy fish too much....even if it's probably got issues above my level of use bc idk what I'm doing most of the time ๐
Yep, esp the burnout. I feel this on so many levels as a audhd person who experiences this so quickly with jobs. Esp since employers just don't get it or value employee health. Because if they did they'd pay more and give more pto and sick leave. Instead the uppers at all these jobs need their bonuses and raises while we get crumbs or let go at the slightest downturn....
Problem is there needs to be a alternative for audhd people like me. I can't do textbooks and I'm tired of being forced to learn things exclusively through them without much practice.
That would've helped tremendously in my "logic and algorithms" class that it felt like never got any practical practice to see in code. So much of my computer classes based in the theory of it all without allowing me to attempt it in practical applications. It's either that or not being based in reality on languages and technologies we need to learn. Like heck I want to get into tinkering too and there's not much for that in schools where I wouldn't have to have a better paying job to afford the materials myself.
Plus with things like history it's bonkers how much stuff I've found out after the fact bc of living in the south. Esp since I know they tried to push states rights bs on us, and definitely make columbus seem like the Saint he's not. Among other stuff bc people who shouldn't be involved in education are dictating things like this.
laid off while on vacation
Oh screw that. I had that happen while I was on a church trip on my first job. They also said I would be better in a job like mcd's where I was standing still at a register. Jokes on them I can't do any of those jobs anymore bc of my audhd and all that goes with it. The meltdowns, anxiety/panic attacks, and generally uneducated people on my conditions that refuse to learn are awful....
I mean, yea that makes sense but I see a ton of dup communities that don't seem even remotely synced up...I could be wrong but yea ๐ค
Well there's a bunch of content some of my teachers have pulled from that's just as good. Hell with history it's a good idea not to have a state textbook anyway. Shiz omits so much it's unreal. Or it tries to paint times before the Civil war as the best of times despite us yknow owning people o_O
I mean yea but it looks like it's fairly high up tho.....or at least to me it does....
I mean lucky you. Usually my problem was shiz would get slow all the time on it. Haven't ever had that issue when I switched. Windows was just constantly getting more and more unstable for me....and I didn't ever mess with anything to make it act like that....
Yep which sucks. I want the same so bad. It shouldn't be that bad of a request to just start investing in some form of transit and redevelopment for that reason. Better than investing in roads as the sole way to get anyone around ๐ญ
Cars are just too much and I wanna bike more but I'm scared I'd get run over or have the bike stolen if I attempted biking more....
